Method of Operation

We recommend an initial frank discussion to determine the nature of the problem and to assess the chances of solving it. A preliminary feasibility study is then proposed, which is followed by a detailed research and development programme.  The results are then transferred to the client for commercial exploitation. The confidentiality of all clients is respected and Aron Vecht & Associates is always prepared to sign a confidentiality agreement before sitting down to any discussion.

Fees and Costs

Only on rare occasions will Aron Vecht & Associates act on an ad hoc day-to-day basis, although this is sometimes used for initial consultation in depth. The fee for a day's consultancy is $1,000-$1,500 plus travelling expenses and hotels.

The retainer fees are varied and will clearly be dependent on the amount of time required and the nature of the enquiry. Consultancies of this nature are usually on an annual basis and range from $6,000-$35,000 p.a.

Research work or consultancy carried out by graduates or technicians is normally undertaken over periods of not less than three months at the following rates:

Technicians	$10,000 per month
Senior Graduates (MSc or PhD)	$12,000 per month

This includes the cost of:

• the graduate or the technician
• laboratory overheads
• secretarial staff etc.
• as well as routine laboratory chemicals and equipment
